Exale Brew Pub Co. is a tight‑knit, community-driven pub company rooted in East London, dedicated to creating relaxed, soulful spaces where craft beer, good conversation, and music come together. Our venues The Black Eel (Dalston), William the Fourth (Leyton), The Three Colts Tavern (Bethnal Green), and their original taproom in Walthamstow - each have their own distinctive character.
At the heart of Exale is their on-site brewery, where they brew fresh, small-batch, hop-forward beers weekly. They emphasise freshness and quality, from grain to glass, so that what’s on tap isn’t just local, but genuinely brewed for the people drinking it.
Exale’s mission isn’t just about beer it’s about building places that feel like home. Their venues host live music, DJs, food pop-ups, and a rotating kitchen residency, creating spaces that reflect the culture and creativity of their neighbourhoods.
Purpose of the Role
To manage our social media presence, create high-quality content, and help organise and deliver events that grow our community, strengthen our brand, and engage our audience.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
Manage and grow our social media channels- Exale tap (IG and TikTok), WTF (IG), Black Eel (IG), Three colts (IG) and Exale brewing (IG)
Plan and schedule regular posts across platforms (4 x per week for each site- Reuse same for TikTok, plus daily stories)
Create, edit, and publish engaging content (with a focus on short-form video- reels)
Be on-site on the busy evenings to capture live content, behind-the-scenes footage, and event highlights
Respond to messages, comments, and engagement in a timely and professional manner
Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual identity across all content
Content Creation
Produce video content for Reels and TikTok
Develop creative campaigns that showcase our events, team, offers and vibes
Use storytelling to bring our work and pubs to life
Generate fresh content ideas and present them regularly
Event Organisation
Support the planning and delivery of events (before, during, and after)
Create promotional content for events to drive attendance and engagement
Help coordinate logistics on the day (e.g. welcoming guests, capturing media, supporting smooth delivery)
Capture and post live updates during events
Reporting & Improvement
Track social media performance using analytics
Provide regular updates on reach, engagement, and growth
Suggest improvements based on data and trends

Weekly Work Outline – Social Media & Events Manager
1. Content Planning & Strategy – 2 hours/week
Plan weekly content calendar (posts, stories, reels, TikToks, campaigns).
Research trends, hashtags, and relevant ideas to keep content fresh.
Coordinate with the team about upcoming events, promotions, or campaigns.
Schedule posts in advance using agreed platforms.
2. On-Site Filming & Content Capture – 6 hours/week
Attend the venue/events in the evenings to capture live content.
Shoot behind-the-scenes, interviews, audience interaction, or highlights.
Ensure high-quality visuals and engaging storytelling moments are recorded.
3. Editing & Content Creation – 2 hours/week
Edit videos into engaging short-form content (Reels/TikTok/Shorts).
Create graphics or promotional visuals (e.g. Canva).
Write captions, tag relevant accounts, and ensure posts are optimised.
Prepare content in different formats to maximise reach across platforms.
4. Event Organisation & Support – 4 hours/week
Assist with planning upcoming events (ideas, logistics, promotion).
Support smooth running of events (greeting, coordinating, posting live updates).
5. Reporting & Engagement – 2 hours/week
Track analytics (views, reach, engagement, growth).
Share a weekly/fortnightly update with key highlights and recommendations.
Respond to comments, messages, and community interactions.
16 hours per week- £20 per hour
